Vidya Balan to team up with John Abraham for Ekta Kapoor next

Ekta Kapoor is all set to get her ambitious film ‘Shootout at Wadala’ on floors by this year end. The film that will be directed by Sanjay Gupta is a sequel to the 2007 film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’. It was earlier reported that John Abraham has been roped in to play the lead in the film; the protagonist character is based on Manya Surve – a leading Mumbai’s don of the 70-80’s era. In the film Vidya Balan will supposedly play John’s girlfriend. The character is not that simple as Vidya will be shown as a widow with two kids. According to Sanjay the character is so intense that only an actress like Vidya Balan can pull it off. Sanjay further noted that to get Vidya on board he is ready to go to any extent. He says that he will request her, if needed, will even plead her to do the film as apart from Vidya he has nobody else in mind. The film will go on floor in December only after Vidya’s current on-the-floor film ‘The Dirty Picture’ releases on 2nd December. So the schedule too is perfect for Vidya to star in the film.

It will be interesting to see John and Vidya teaming up again after their last film ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ post which they were linked to each other.
