World’s Oldest Light Bulb

World’s Oldest Light Bulb

A light bulb at a fire station in Livermore, California, has been burning for 110 years. The light bulb holds the Guinness World Record, but scientists aren’t exactly sure how the light bulb has managed to stay on for so long.

The bulb was first turned on in 1901. Lynn Owens, who is in charge of the light bulb centennial committee, says that the bulb is a 60 watt bulb, but they only run it at 4 watts. Still, the light bulb has been burning for about 109 years longer than expected
